PEMBUATAN KOMPOS DENGAN METODE “BIOKOMPOSTER” BERBASIS LIMBAH KOTORAN TERNAK DI DESA GUNTUR MACAN KECAMATAN GUNUNGSARI GUNUNGSARI

The most problem faced by farmers is the lack of availability of chemical fertilizers when entering the growing season. Besides of the rare, the price is also very expensive. For this reason, the purpose of this activity is to make the fertilizer self-sufficient so that the dependence on chemical fertilizers can be reduced. The limited knowledge of fertilizer manufacturing technology, especially the length of the process of making manure or compost which takes 3-4 months until the fertilizer is ready to be used is the main obstacle for the community to produce their own fertilizers so that this activity is carried out by counseling and training directly in the field. The enthusiasm of the surrounding community, especially the mothers of farmers and housewives, is large enough to participate in the training in making compost organic fertilizer. The implementation of community service activities took place successfully and smoothly according to the plan. This community service activity is able to increase the ability of extension participants, especially about the technology of processing livestock waste to be composted.Keywords: fermentation, compos, livestock waste, microbe, organic
